Glastonbury’s Shangri-La arena has revealed a stacked line-up for this year’s event, taking place from June 21 – 25.
In the countdown to Glastonbury Festival 2023, Shangri-La unveiled a full line-up including the likes of Nia Archives, Eliza Rose, Conducta, and Prospa.
Over on the Nowhere stage, Ahadadream, Andy C, Bou, Chunky, Effy, Flowdan, Ivy Lab, My Nu Leng, Mike Skinner, Sicaria, Skream, and a takeover from femme-collective Lady Of The House, will be providing some star-studded action over the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Truth stage offers a more downtempo and jazz-focused selection of artists including Blue Lab Beats and Ezra Collective.
Platform 23 this year features the likes of KILIMANJARNO, Lefto b2b Jamz Supernova, Papa Nugs, and takeovers from Village Underground, Club Yeke, Movimientos, and Shall Not Fade sub-label Time Is Now.
Those playing takeover sets at Platform 23 include Amaliah b2b Aletha, Suchi b2b Parris, Main Phase b2b Bakey, Nikki Nair b2b DJ ADHD, and more.
Shangri-La also revealed a slew of names for its Sistxrhood and Nomad stages with takeovers from queer parties including Pxssy Palace, Sista Select, and Misscoteque.
Minor changes have been made to Glastonbury’s 2023 event including new stages and the removal of old ones, such as Silver Hayes’ Sonic stage, which will be replaced this year by The Levels, a new open-air club said to be inspired by “the crossover of architecture, lighting and experimental musical art-forms”.
According to the Bristol Post, Arcadia will be made bigger this year following reports of overcrowding in 2022. The John Peel stage will also be renamed ‘The Woodsies’ for the 2023 event.
